I am Chris Groeneveld, I live in Utrecht in the Netherlands.
I hope I will be able to contribute to this website/ platform with different kind of musical and fotoprojects, in the near future.
Concerning the first project 'van Diemenstraat, Utrecht';
I was invited by my brother, who was starting the renovation of a house in Utrecht, to record this proces for over a year.
This involved the complete stripping and destruction of the interior, reconstructing every room/ space in the house/ building.
My way of approaching this was not simply to record the events and changes in the house, but to see the different stages of renovation and types of human conditions on different times and several occasions, as opportunities. Opportunities to search for images that are intressing because of an appeal to me in some way or another.
By reviewing the whole archive at the end of the proces, I came to conclusion that the selection I intuitively made for www.cultblender.org can be describled as follows.
People and objects randomly placed in spaces, seen and exerienced as in a changing enviroment, photografically captured and stated as images of content.
