Cultblender: Ollieen de Gullie die van Hullie ok oit Olling
Ollien de Gullie die van Hullie ok oit Olling
Concept and Introduction
Ollieën de gullie die van hullie ok oit olling? is in fact a log of a moped journey through out the Netherlands. We have started this artistic representation from an actual travel, a meeting of two individuals in time and space. Arisen from a desire to acquire impressions in order to define ourselves.
A moped journey around the Netherlands in 8 days; a possibility to get in touch with a motorized vehicle, our close surroundings, individual impressions and identifications, to explore and to take artistic samples.
The project takes the system of "the journey of the hero" as a back edge. We attach intuitively a number of artistic elements (photograph, videostills, video and soundtrack) to aspects in this "dramatic system", a system where most of the books/films and epics are being built upon, during the time of history.
The journey of the hero
1.the end of innocence
2.chaos & uncertainty
3.looking for the treasure
4.wise & allies
5.defeat of the dragon
6.the journey has been accomplished
In the coming about of 'Ollieën?' a link has been made between the actual experiences and reproductions in expressive work; the feeding for an effective devise of the log. The log nowadays exists out of a number of designs for picture pages, a devise for a video assembly and a soundtrack. The log eventually will to be offered in the form of a notebook with CD-Rom.
Our intention is to make a transmissible and still developing, aesthetic project . And hopefully it carries tangible mystic elements within the given setting and context of this representation. Our artistic aim is to make an instruction for ourselves and a possible witness to experience and bring forth artistic products.
