Project description

A nice project for multimedia artists, Flash programmers and game freaks. So, we are probably including everyone. The Arcade of Existence project is a project that will simulate life itself. We are taking on the big subjects here.

Basically the concept is: take the videogame you most like(d) to play or take one of those all time greats. Think: Space Invaders, Pac Man, Pong, King Kong, Tetris, Pitfall, Mario Brothers, need we go on? Find a version that is scripted in a language you understand, or for the real programmers out there: write your own. Then, take the goal of the game out of it.

Examples: If you're doing Tetris, take out the bottom. Everything still works, but there will be no piling up of blocks on the bottom. If you're doing Pac Man; don't let him eat the dots, just let him pass through. Some of you might feel that that would render the games completely useless and an utter waste of time. And yes, we agree.

If you are not a very skilled (game)programmer, there are also easy to use freeware build-your-own-game programms out there. All it needs is creativity. You could try this one.
